Headquartered in Irving, Gold's Gym is a national chain with a passion for helping people achieve their individual potential. The company has clearly demonstrated this desire in recent months by hiring THREE Supported Employment clients at Dallas-area stores.
Carolyn Roney, Corporate Human Resources Director, said that our clients' dedication to jobs that often have high turnover was a major impetus to hiring them.
"The fact that Special Care & Career Services presents eager, pre-screened applicants and then trains them on the job gives me peace of mind that we can achieve long-term hires in positions that are often unstable," she said.
The first two hires at Gold's Gym took place in May 2007. Supported Employment client Mark performs custodial duties at the Preston Center location, and Paula is at the Uptown Dallas gym. In August 2007, Alex joined the Gold's Gym family, working at the North Dallas site.
On the surface, the relationship between Gold's Gym and Special Care & Career Services developed simply because we were able to recognize a need and provide a solution. But the deeper truth is that Gold's Gym understood US and our clients as well as we understood them. They understood the value proposition we could provide, and they are happy with the result.
